Phone number porting with Atly

Porting lets you move an existing business number to a new provider while keeping the same digits your customers already know. Atly supports port-in where the live SKU catalog marks the number as portable.

How porting works in Atly

1. You describe your current number and country in the setup wizard 2. The Provider Engine checks catalog portable flags and regulatory requirements 3. Atly orchestrates the port-in through the underlying CPaaS provider (Twilio or Telnyx) 4. Once live, the number connects to Atly channels and approval workflow

Country availability

Porting rules differ by country and number type. The catalog exposes `portable=true` only where Atly can actually initiate a port. Do not assume porting is available everywhere — the wizard shows honest status per SKU.

Czech Republic and Slovakia

Port-in is supported in select configurations where the catalog allows it. Marketing for specific regions should not promise porting until the catalog confirms it for that number type. Check current availability in the company-number setup flow.

Porting vs forwarding

If port-in is not yet available for your number type, you may be able to forward calls from your existing carrier to an Atly number while keeping your public digits elsewhere. Forwarding is a simpler path when full port is not on the catalog.

What Atly is not

Atly is not a telecom carrier. Porting runs through platform CPaaS accounts. You work with Atly; Atly works with the underlying provider.
